North Wales Tourist Information and Advice - Ambassadors North Wales

Tourist Information Map for North Wales

The Map shows how well North Wales is located to make the best of all the area has to offer

Welcome

been there, done that

Planning a holiday to North Wales can be a tricky thing: deciding where to stay, how to get there, and what to do when you arrive. Don’t worry, Ambassadors North Wales can help – by putting you in touch with people from your corner of the world who’ve been here before.

As well as giving honest, helpful advice about things like accommodation and travel, our ambassadors can tell you why North Wales is worth a visit. They’ll be able to tell you about the Isle of Anglesey, home of food festivals, with events covering everything from ale to oysters; tell you about Snowdonia Mountains and Coast – home to 142 miles of coastal path and 838 square miles of National Park; tell you about the award-winning beaches and lively seaside towns of Coastal North Wales like Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Prestatyn and about the North Wales Borderlands, home to Llangollen International Musical and more woodland walks than you can shake a stick at. So don't just take our word for it, ask an ambassador!

it’s good to share

Once you’ve visited North Wales you, too, can share your experience with would-be visitors, and tell them about all the new stuff that’s going on in North Wales. Things like Hafod Eryri, the visitor centre at the summit of Mount Snowdon, due to open its doors in 2009; Anglesey’s Oriel Kyffin Williams, the new gallery devoted to our national artist. You can tell them that the Welsh Highland Railway now goes all the way from Porthmadog to Caernarfon through the mountains of Snowdonia. And that Pontcysyllte Aqueduct gains World Heritage Site status in 2009, and they can mark the occasion with a terrifying canal boat ride across it. So pass it on and pretty soon we’ll have ambassadors from all over the world.

I have visited wales twice and find it one of the most beautiful and relaxing places.
